1st. Round Draft - June 12th. Concord, NC
It was a knock out at Concord's First Round Draft on June 12th when Charity Case stepped into the ring.
Rockin' for the first time at First Round, Charity Case was welcomed by an enthusiastic audience worked "over", I mean "up", by Four Friends and a Roadie, fronted by CC's own stage manager, Roadie Rob.
Fresh off Friday night's excursion to Greensboro for Van Halen's tour opener, Charity Case was inspired adding a little punch to their rendition of “Panama”. Always a crowd pleaser, but this time Ace added some extra Sammy…great touch.
And no, you weren't seeing double, there was another guy between Eric McRae (bass) and Clifton Vann (guitar) on stage for Guns 'n Roses' "Paradise City" burning up the guitar with that fantastic solo. Craig Landau made his CC debut, expect him to be back in the near future helping out the band with some scheduling conflicts. Don't worry, ladies, no one is going anywhere.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Charity Case used their encore to showcase some new material, a medley in fact, Great White's "Once Bitten Twice Shy", "I Wanna' Be Sedated" The Ramones and Billy Idol's "Dancin' With Myself", now that’s a real TKO.
Both band and bar shared an entertainment victory at this first meeting, it is expected that the two will meet again, possibly in September.
As always, I'll keep looking Inside Charity Case.
