Killian’s Nightlife, Mooresville, NC, Saturday night, December 3 rd was the scene of the latest appearance from The Hottest Cover Band in the Land. Charity Case returned to Killian’s bringing opener Four Friends and a Roadie (FFR) back for their sequel engagement as well.
FFR showed up with some new material to kick off the evening. I just loved Judas Priest’s “Breakin the Law” and from the looks of things I wasn’t the only one. When Four Friends and a Roadie are sent to warm things up, they certainly do the job.
“Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel”…avid CC fans know this is the cue. Roadie Rob and Eddie Z face off for a drinking contest. And if you know the rules, “Eddie Z always wins.” This night, in the hopes of making it a real contest for Eddie Z an enthusiastic lady from the crowd jumped to the stage to take the hand off from Roadie Rob. Nice try, but the rule still stands, “Eddie Z always wins”.
Those of you in attendance until the very end were treated to the first performance of “Livin la Vida Loca” Charity Case style. The band had mixed emotions about the Ricky Martin hit, but the favorable response will keep Ace swinging his hips and the ladies screaming and swooning.
Killian’s Nightlife is quickly turning into a regular stop on the CC circuit and I couldn’t be happier.
