In 1996, Shane relocated to Charlotte. After several auditions that went nowhere, he met some fellow musicians from Concord, N.C. and formed the hard edged, heavy rock band called Loman. Loman played a few dates in the Raleigh, N.C. area and managed to put together a demo cd that is one of Shane's favorite among all the original work that he's done.

After leaving Loman, Shane joined Charity Case. He refers to it as, "One of the most rewarding bands that I've ever been involved with. A group of very experienced and talented musicians who love to play music and like to have fun.” When asked to describe a Charity Case show, he simply replies, “If you come to one of our shows, you’ll have a great time and you’ll go home knowing that you’ve been rocked! That’s what we do!”

Shane and his wife Colleen are both from Greenville, Oh and live in Concord, NC. They were married in 1994 and have two daughters, Tessa May and Torri Elaine. Shane uses DW drums, Pork Pie snare drums, Zildjian cymbals, Evans heads and Promark sticks.
